Director's Note

UBC Insight is a full-stack course project built as an academic dashboard for students and professors to explore university course offerings and campus facilities data. My partner and I developed a custom query language and parallel data-processing pipeline that was capable of handling uploads of up to 5,000 files (around 200MB) within seconds. Additionally, we designed custom RESTful APIs validated by a comprehensive unit and integration testing suite using Mocha and Chai, which were later leveraged to power the dashboard's data visualizations.
