Director's Note

The PlaCraft.ai Player Analysis was a group course project that analyzed player characteristics and behaviour that might help predict whether a player would subscribe to game-related newsletters. With provided datasets from The Pacific Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (PLAI) and their project on PlaCraft.ai, we were able to perform several data visualizations and analyses to look for correlations and patterns with player behaviour and subscriptions. By using R and its extensive libraries, we created compelling visualizations and ran several classification algorithms that yielded accuracies up to 80%. These insights could help tailor marketing strategies to players in their own respective categories and ultimately improve visibility and accessibility of the game.
